First opened in 1927 as a commercial laundry.

Immokalee Pioneer Museum
at Roberts Ranch

13-acre historic site and museum was once originally home to cattleman Robert Roberts & his family.

Naples Depot Museum

Set in Naples’ restored SAL depot, welcoming visitors to the railroading boom days of the 1920s.

Marco Island Historical Museum

Long famous for its Key Marco Cat.

Canceled Pineapple Day

January 31, 2026

Join our annual celebration of all things pineapple. Come explore the history of pineapple farming (or pineries) on Marco Island. We will offer games, crafts, recipes, and decorating ideas. Local gardening groups will be on hand with tips on growing pineapples and other tropical plants. Please feel free to dress in your finest pineapple attire.

All Aboard for Storytime!

February 11, 2026

All aboard! Please join us as we explore transportation books with museum staff in our 1947 Budd Train Car. Suitable for ages 2-5. Limited seating, RSVP required.

Key Marco Cat Celebration

As we prepare to bid a fond farewell to the Key Marco Cat, guests speakers, afficiandos, and the staff at the Marco Island Historical Museum and the Marco Island Historical Society gather to talk about what the Key Marco Cat means to us.

History & Heritage Days at the Everglades Seafood Festival

This year on History and Heritage Row in front of the Museum at Everglades City’s Annual Seafood Festival we will again focus on our partnership with the local indigenous tribe of Miccosukee Indians. Several artisans from the Tribe will have their clothing and jewelry creations for sale.
