Centennial Lecture | How the 20s Roared in Florida
May 9 | 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
We’re celebrating 100 years of Collier County with our special exhibit “1923: Exploring Collier County’s Founding Year.” Join Museum Manager Stephanie Long, the exhibit’s curator, for an exploration of life in Florida in the 1920s. Hear tales of pioneers, flappers, tycoons, real estate shenanigans, low-bush lightning, and all that jazz. Florida’s population grew over 30% between 1920 and 1925, and the state went both boom and bust during this wild decade.
