We’re celebrating 100 years of Collier County with our special exhibit “1923: Exploring Collier County’s Founding Year.” Museum Manager Stephanie Long, the exhibit’s curator, will be looking at how modern styles developed over the course of the roaring 20s. Coming out of the first World War, Americans were eager to shed the past and look towards the future, embracing new attitudes, styles, and popular culture to reflect the new technologies like automobiles, airplanes, movies, and radio that were reshaping their world.
