Community Conversations – African American Community
February 16 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Free
Collier County Museums is proud to present Community Conversations. This new series invites various members of our community who are often “othered” to give voice to the injustices and obstacles they’ve experienced living in Collier County and what is needed to right these wrongs. In addition, the discussion will include how those who desire to be allies can support these community members and how current allies can increase their support. These events will be live streamed via Facebook and Zoom. In-person seating is limited due to COVID-19 restrictions. Masks are required. RSVP required (Please use the form below to reserve your seat). All lectures start at 6:00 pm.
In February our focus will be on the African-American community. We are pleased to welcome the Collier County branch of the NAACP, Collier Youth 4 Black Lives, Showing Up for Racial Justice, the Collier County Black Affairs Board, and Black Youth for Justice.
