Marco Island is home to over 390 sites that the Florida Burrowing Owls call home and has the second largest urban population of burrowing owls in the state. Audubon Western Everglades Owl Watch Program monitors these sites each year during nesting season, which is generally the end February to end of May, but now monitors the sites year round to help protect this State Threatened species. Dr. Liz White will talk about our upcoming season and incredible statistics on this unique urban population. Tune in!

Visit the Marco Island Historical Society website for more information on this virtual “Zoom In” webinar.
