Our Stories, Our Voices: Florida Cattle Ranching

June 13, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free
OSOV Florida Cattle Ranching

Florida has a long, vast history of cattle ranching, beginning with the arrival of Juan Ponce de Leon and the Spanish in the 1520s. The cultivation of the wild Spanish “scrub” cattle eventually led Florida, and particularly South Florida, to become a major supplier of cattle both domestically and internationally. Join us as two generations of local cattlemen, Dallas Townsend and Clint Raulerson, discuss their personal experiences in the Florida cattle industry.
