Save Your Stuff: How to Protect Your Family’s Treasures from a Hurricane Workshop at the Museum of the Everglades

July 15 | 10:00 am 11:30 am

105 Broadway Ave W
Everglades City, 34139 United States
(239) 252-5026

The impact hurricanes like Irma and Ian have had are immeasurable, with the livelihood and infrastructure damage taking center stage in the aftermath. There is another kind of loss that occurs after a hurricane though, and that is the loss of beloved family treasures. Join the Collier County Museums for a workshop on how to salvage water-damaged family valuables and heirlooms, using conservation-minded techniques! Take-home kits will also be available to add to your hurricane supplies, while supplies last. Join us at one of three museums for this FREE program.

RSVP is encouraged, use the form below or contact the Curator of Education at 239-252-8242.

Please note, these programs will be in English, however informational sheets from the FEMA Save Your Family Treasures program are available in Spanish and Haitian Creole upon request.
