Spring Homeschool Day 2023

April 4 | 10:00 am 1:00 pm

105 Broadway Ave W
Everglades City, 34139 United States
(239) 252-5026

We’re excited to announce (again) Collier County Museums’ new Homeschool Day program! Three times a year, we will be hosting a day where homeschoolers of all ages will be able to come for free educational programming geared toward their specific age groups. We will have preschool, 1st-3rd, 4th-5th, and middle/early high school appropriate activities based on that Homeschool Day’s theme. With a focus on combining history and STEM (we like to call it SHTEM!), Collier County Museums aims to provide your homeschooler with a holistic approach to learning about our region’s history. Homeschool Days will cycle through our five museums, so your family has an opportunity to get to know all of them!

Spring 2023 Homeschool Day is inspired by Collier County’s Centennial Celebration, and there’s no better place to host it than in the town of the first county seat, Everglades City! Taking place at Museum of the Everglades, we will be providing a wide variety of activities. Each age group will have their own special scavenger hunt to complete within the museum, and we’ll have activities available for each age group as well that will tell the story of how Collier County was founded back in 1923.

This is a drop-in style event and will be taking place from 10:00AM – 1:00PM. Parking is available in the Museum of the Everglades parking lot and the McLeod Park parking lot across the street. RSVP is not required, but is encouraged to ensure enough supplies are available for student participants.

Make a day of this visit! Be sure to check out other area attractions and Everglades City restaurants while you’re down here.
