Join us at Museum of the Everglades as we celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the Tamiami Trail’s opening!

11:00 am – Opening Ceremonies Featuring Barron G. Collier’s original speech read by Barron Collier III, followed by a parade

ABOUT THE GUEST SPEAKER
Jonathan Ullman, a journalist and a passionate voice for Everglades restoration, will be the guest speaker at the 90th Anniversary of the Opening of the Tamiami Trail Celebration in Everglades City on Saturday, April 28. Jon is highly-knowledgeable about climate impacts to South Florida and the Everglades, joining the Sierra Club staff in 1998. His presentation is titled “Trailblazers: the Perilous Story of the Tamiami Trail.”
