Third Thursday Lecture Series – Art and Artists in Everglades City (and beyond)
February 18 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Free
THIRD THURSDAY DOUBLE-HEADER! In observance of our annual History & Heritage Week, Museum of the Everglades will feature two talks on Thursday, February 18th: one at 10am and one at 2pm. We invited you to join us for both – in person (limited seating available due to Covid protocols) or online. Plenty of time for a delicious local lunch between the presentations for those who visit us in person.
At 10am, the work of artists living in and around Everglades City – including Rob Storter, Dick Jay, Camille Baumgartner, Bob Klotz, and Varick Niles, as well as photographers Clyde Butcher, JohnBob Carlos and others – will be discussed and explored as it relates to the area’s unique landscape and history.
Seating is limited at the museum due to COVID-19 social distancing restrictions. Guests should arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the beginning of the program or their seats may be given to others waiting on stand-by. Please use the RSVP forms below to reserve your seat at the museum or to attend the event virtually via live streaming.
